Kevin Durant has carved out quite a big chunk of the sneaker world. His “KD” line from Nike is the brands second largest signature shoe(behind the Lebron series). However all accolades aside it appears the NBA MVP may be leaving the brand for a new beginning with basketball upstart Under Armour.
The transfer rumors began to pick up steam when James Briggs of the Baltimore Business Journal reported that Kevin Durant missed a scheduled trip to Nike Inc. Headquarters in Beaverton Oregon. The potential deal with Under Armour is said to be worth 325 million over the next 10 years. A contract of this size will tower over Durant’s ‘salary capped’ paycheck with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The “KD vii” may be the last series of Kevin Durant signature shoes to be released on Nike Brand. The “Easy Money” colorway is personal favorite.
