I took a little hiatus for personal reasons but now I will be back each and every week for Freshtake’s fresh picks for the week in the NFL. Through 6 weeks in the NFL 5 unbeaten teams remain. The Bengals, Packers, Patriots, Panthers, and Broncos. Will Week 7 see one or all of these juggernauts go down? Stay tuned to find out as the soap opera that is the NFL unravels. It is important to note that 4 of the 5 teams are prospering from excellent MVPesque quarterback play. Rodgers, Brady, Dalton. and Newton have all been playing at an elite level week in and week out. A surprising occurrence but it is the Broncos defense that has uplifted the team not the legendary Peyton Manning. Father time definitely is chasing Peyton but will Peyton’s 5.5 speed be enough to evade it? Important to note Broncos and Packers are on a Bye this week. We shall see. Now for the picks for Week 7! Welcome back to another year in the NFL!!!! Football is back Alas!!! The collegiate athletes did a fine job with the opening act, now it is time for the main event to take center stage!!! In an off season that saw a lot of new faces in new places it is sure to be an exciting year with plenty of twist and turns on the field as well as off it. Week 1 highlights two rookie 1st rounders starting off their careers against one another. QB Mariota vs QB Winston in what is sure to be an exciting match-up versus two of the upcoming stars in the league. I feel Mariota is light-years better than Jameis so that is a spoiler alert for that game. Peyton Manning is more than likely about to step away from the game after this season so we can see if he can go out like his boss John Elway, who defeated my beloved Dirty Birds in Miami. How ever this story ends Mr. Manning provided us with many memories, and he has always been a model citizen for the youngsters to replicate. Without further ado the picks for Week 1 in the National Football League! Continue reading BoSo’s NFL Week 1 Fresh Picks

Bold Predictions For The Week: Colt McCoy will throw for 350 yards and 2 TDs in his homecoming to Texas. Mark Ingram will rush for 100 yards and a TD. Jerick McKinnon will rush for 150 yards and a touchdown. Joe Flacco will throw 4 TD passes.
Welp, that didn’t take long for me to look like a complete moron, one week into the bold predictions segment of The Wrap and I am an astounding ½ out of 4.
Here were the BP’s from last week with the results in parenthesis.
The Over/Under for the Packers- Lions game is 52, I’m taking the Over (The Correct answer was Under, way, way under this matchup of Gunslinger QB’s turned into a defensive stand-off 19-7. SURPISE!)
Derek Carr Outduels Tom Brady to the tune of 275+ yards and 2 touchdowns. (Carr: 174 Yards 0 TDs. Brady: Better than that BS you just read. Derek Carr is now “David” til further notice.)
Falcons don’t record a sack in their Thursday night game against Tampa, but still manage to win 44-23. (According to the rule I just made up for the purposes of saving face I’m half right on this one. The Falcons dominated in their win 56-14 and- thankfully- recorded a few sacks of the ever embattled QB Josh Mckown.)
Demaryius Thomas, Julius Thomas, and Welker all over 80 Yards as Denver wipes the floor with Seattle. (excuse me for a moment) hahahahaha…Welp, this seems like as good a place as any to start with our Week 3 Wrap
“I Know I shouldn’t say this, but I actually wanted Overtime, I live for those moments”. –Russell Wilson
Maybe Tony Dungy wasn’t too far off in his comparison of Russ to Joe Montana a few weeks back because Russ and Seahawks are very good at Football.
#FootballAndMore Matt Fresh and Mykhal Glass hit on some news and notes from the upcoming NFL Season, Tell which QB is under the most pressure to win now and tell what is the best part about living in Atlanta FreshTakeSportsDOTcom
The Denver Broncos were sent galloping out of the Super Bowl and into the offseason. What did the Seattle Seahawks do to make a bunch of grown men look like absolute punks? I think I might have an idea, but the past is the past and no one wants redemption more than Peyton Manning. The greatest quarterback on Earth will be gunning for another trip back to the big game but will they even make it out of the West?
